Mike established GMB Portfolio Services with Brian in June 2012, having worked in the financial services industry since June 2000.  He has since gained professional qualifications whilst working within Independent Advisory firms and advising clients since 2009.  He is a Financial Consultant and co-Director of GMB Portfolio Services Ltd.  He advises in all areas of planning however his main expertise is in pensions and retirement planning.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys.  At the weekend you will usually find him standing at the side of a football pitch, either coaching his sons or watching them play.

Brian established GMB Portfolio Services with Mike in June 2012 having previously worked in Banking and Financial Services since 2000. Brian has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, the highest level of qualification within the industry. This qualification puts Brian in the top 5% of advisers within the UK in terms of qualification and knowledge. Although Brian advises on all aspects of financial planning, his particular areas of expertise are retirement, pensions and investment planning.

Lauren joined GMB Portfolio Services as an Admin Assistant in 2015 having worked in the industry since 2011. She has since progressed to Office Manager having completed a Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Management and is advancing her skills and knowledge by working towards her Diploma in Business and Management with the help of an Open University course.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys spending time walking her dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Maili joined GMB Portfolio Services towards the end of 2019 as a Senior Administrator having worked in various administrative roles throughout the Financial Services industry since 2011. Maili is looking to expand her knowledge within the Financial Services industry and plans to gain professional qualifications whilst doing so.

In her free time, Maili enjoys going to concerts and spending time with family and friends.

Rhianne joined GMB Portfolio Services as an Administrative Assistant at the start of 2021 looking to gain experience within financial services.  She has completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration along with passing FA2 Pension Administration qualification.  She aims to continue to sit other qualifications to enhance her knowledge.

In her spare time Rhianne enjoys going to concerts, spending time with friends and family and baking.

Courtney joined GMB Portfolio Services as an Administrative Assistant in May 2023 looking to gain experience within financial services.  She is hoping to expand her knowledge by completing a Modern Apprenticeship in Business and Administration.

In her spare time she enjoys going to music events and festivals.  She also likes spending time with her friends and family.

Alan joined GMB in 2018 as a mortgage consultant. Having worked in financial services for over 10 years dealing with all aspects of banking, lending and mortgages.  Alan has gained professional qualifications in order to provide the highest quality of independent, whole of market mortgage and protection advice.

In his spare time Alan enjoys watching football, going to concerts and playing the occasional round of golf.

Laura’s career in financial services began in 1997, over the last 20 years Laura has gained a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Independent Financial Advice including pensions, investments, protection and inheritance tax planning.

Laura joined GMB in August 2020, her passion for clients wellbeing allows them to benefit from a personal and dedicated advice service.

Away from work Laura is married and is a busy mum to twin girls, as a family they enjoy cycling and cooking together.

Already well known to GMB Portfolio Services, Scott joined as a Financial Consultant in November 2021.  Having built a wealth of experience within the industry via a number of well known institutions, Scott now wishes to pass his knowledge and expertise to his clients.
